Something to Remember

Eight
Daily Commitments

Remember the
eight week journey you committed to during Inside Out, you
will need to continue those commitments. As with any important
undertaking, the more you give to the endeavor, the more you
will receive.
The
following is a list of the daily commitments required to stay
connected to the Father God and get the maximum benefit to
continued lifelong growth:
Prayer
and Meditation:
Most important
of all, pray. God's Spirit can provide the wisdom you need to
see your life from His viewpoint. Your prayer invites His
power to help you forgive and restore. Opening up your wounds
and secrets to Him is the only access you have to His grace,
strength, and healing.
Daily
Reading or Input:
Any scripture
meditation, book, tape, etc. that gives you new information,
new ways to think and be.
Affirmation
Statements of
Self-Belief:
(I
am, I can, I will statements)
The daily use
of these "I'' statements is another form of self-affirmation
designed to counter negative self-concept. It can result in a
positive attitude, optimism, and can motivate you toward
emotional growth and progress.
Evaluation:
Spot-Check
Inventory involves stopping several times each day to assess
our actions, thoughts and motives.
Examine
yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test your own
selves…II Cor. 13:5
Journaling:
Journaling
allows people to clarify their thoughts and feelings, thereby
gaining valuable self-knowledge. It’s also a good
problem-solving tool; oftentimes, one can hash out a problem
and come up with solutions more easily on paper.
Fasting:
Fasting
creates discipline and sensitivity to the voice of the Spirit
of God. Let me stress that fasting is not meant to be a
punishment but a privilege. Fasting does not mean starvation
and death; it means "to abstain from."
Confessions:
God's word is our
contact with Him. We put Him in remembrance of His word (Ish.
43:26), placing a demand on His ability in the name of our
Lord Jesus. Using God's Word on purpose and specifically, in
our daily confessions is an effective and accurate means of
bringing God's power on the scene.
Sister
Support:
Sister
Support is keeping another sister from failing, declining or
sinking. Sister Support is giving approval and assistance to;
to serve; to uphold; to endure and tolerate; and Supporting
Sisters through their journey. Inside Out is all about Sister
Support.
