Men of Valor

The book of First Samuel tells the story of David gathering about him" the discontented, the rebels, the outlaws" to come together as soldiers in the Army of God. They had to be summoned, trained, and encouraged, and many were eventually able to become his mighty men--great men of valor. That is our goal in this ministry--to teach men how to make real changes and begin new lives . . . to become men of valor.

Building Great Men

God never intended for you to exist as an island. You were designed for connection with other men who can help you to become the real man, the godly man, God intended you to be. Too often, as men, we tend to run from any dependence on others and instead try to fight our own battles in our own strength.

Here at ZOE Embassy, the purpose of the Men’s Ministry is to help you become a healthy follower of Jesus. We seek to accomplish this objective through individual care which occurs principally through small groups. Small groups are made up of regular guys just like you who are going in the same direction, have similar needs, and who desire to grow in their faith.

As Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” This is what a small group can do for you. A men’s small group is a safe place for sharing your life, both struggles and victories, with other men just like yourself. It’s also a great place to discover how God’s Word applies to life.

Strength in Small Groups

King Solomon said it best in Proverbs 27:17; "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." While most men have no trouble staying "busy" in this world, few men are truly "connected" with other men in Christian fellowship. Scripture encourages deep and lasting friendships in the body of Christ, both for men and women. At ZOE Embassy, there are many ways for men to have their "iron sharpened" through participation in Men's Small Groups.

You might be thinking, “I agree that I need to get connected, but how do I do it?” We’ve made it really easy! We have a list below of groups you can get involved in, just pick one. It’s that simple. Join a group! You’ll never be the same again. And more importantly, you’ll be taking a simple first step that will put you on the road to becoming the real, godly man that God wants you to be. At ZOE Embassy, men are offered opportunities to join together for Bible study or topical studies that relate to men's needs.  Each study focuses on a man’s core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood. 

Come grow in your relationship with the Lord and develop new friendships in one of several men's Small Group Bible Fellowships, which offer opportunities for men to fellowship together through men's outings, breakfasts, or small accountability groups on a weekly basis.
